National minute’s silence for the Grenfell Tower tragedy

People in Rossendale are being invited to join in and observe a national minute’s silence this morning (Monday, June 19) at 11am as a mark of respect for those who have lost their lives in the fire at Grenfell Tower, London.

Please mark the silence where it is most convenient for you. We are also thinking about those affected by another potential terror attack outside a London mosque overnight.

Also groups, organisations and businesses may feel it is appropriate to incorporate further minute silences at any gatherings or events in the near future to reflect on this tragedy and the terrorist attacks which have all left the country shocked and saddened.
