People can show their appreciation for the work of our armed forces at a flag raising ceremony in Rawtenstall.
It takes place at St Mary’s Gardens at 10am on Monday (June 24) and is one of hundreds of events being held nationally in the run up to Armed Forces Day on June 29.

A flag raising ceremony will be held in St Mary’s Gardens, Rawtenstall, to support Armed Forces Day.
It takes place at 10am on Monday, June 25, when a short service will be led by Rev Chris Casey from St Paul’s Church.
The Mayor of Rossendale, Councillor Ann Kenyon, will attend with the Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire Hazel Harding.

Residents are being invited to attend a flag raising ceremony to mark Armed Forces Day.
The ceremony takes place on Monday, June 19 at St. Mary’s Gardens in Rawtenstall.
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
