Arthouse have used the Imagine Fun collection as the basis to launch a national children’s story writing competition, opened to children aged 4-11 years designed to inspire and to encourage creative thinking. Children could enter the competition via their schools or independently, with winners receiving cash prizes to spend on creative materials.
Teaming up with award-winning children’s authors Harriet Goodwin and Linda Chapman, interior designer Sophie Conran; as well as being endorsed by much loved author Dame Jacqueline Wilson, the competition has been a huge success. Hundreds of entries have been received nationwide with many from Lancashire.
The winning stories from the Arthouse Imagine Fun writing competition, combined with a selection of fantastic runners up, have been compiled into a beautifully illustrated hardback story book – ‘The Little Book of Imagination’ – For Children, by Children’.
This book will be available to purchase nationwide for £8.99, and all proceeds will go to the Rossendale Hospice , of which Arthouse are proud patrons, supporting their valued work improving the quality of life for those with life-limiting illnesses.
